BREAK OUT THE ICE CREAM

The cherry on top of my day yesterday was receiving this award from Alison. Thanks, Alison, for making my day!

Now for some more calorie-free fun:

  1. Hi Irene, You are more than welcome...cute hearts...although I must confess, I never liked those candies, even though I think they are adorable, but taste terrible!!

Books...I have a varied taste in books, depends on my mood. My favorite author is Diana Gabaldon. She writes historical fiction (my favorite) and her Outlander series is wonderful. I highly recommend them, but start at the first book. If I am in the mood for light and funny than I will pick up Janet Evanovich...her books always have me laughing out loud.

I am in a Book Club and we recently read Middlesex, The Glass Castle, and Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil....all good books. Our book for this month in Moloka'i...an excellant book based on the leper colony on Moloka'i Island in Hawaii. I read so much that I forget which books I have and haven't read. I also read many library books and I always forget about those!! Think that is a sign of age??

What have been your favorite reads?

  2. Sounds like a good book club! Since I write kid lit now, I read a lot of kid lit. I went through a phase of reading all the Newbery winners. So probably me and Cassie would have more authors in common. :)
