  7. Hi Irene,
I wanted to tell you how much I am enjoying Leaving Gee's Bend. After reading the first 90 pages yesterday I am in love with Ludelphia. You and I share the love of literature and quilting. If I could write half as good as you someday...Bravo ~ a great first novel!

  9. Thanks for hosting, Irene. I've won a book recently so I won't enter again for now, but I'm realizing that I missed somehow your Gee's Bend book! I don't know that I'll ever make a quilt again, but the Gee's Bend quilters have certainly inspired a new appreciation for imprecise beauty in quilts and otherwheres. Looking forward to it!
