Well, Irene, I haven't seen a book about kittens lately, so maybe here's your chance! Fun to see what you receive-special!
FABULOUS! Boy, did this put a smile on my face. I would love to see more letters from students. There should be a blog for that.
Oh Renee, new job for you??? Yes, Irene, there are kitten lovers galore out there. Maybe those stories will inspire some of those who do not like to write to give it a whirl or a meow!!! Hey, and leave the story writing to the experts....why not? I do have a few questions about little Kristina. Do they write often? Are they using great books as mentor texts? Are they using Lucy Calkins writing program or writing workshop? As Don Graves always said, the kids need to have time to write, they need to talk about their writing in meaningful conferences with teachers and other kids and they need to know the time will be consistent. IF writing is only on demand as an assignment and not in a workshop...it is hard to develop a passion for it. Some do, some do not and how sad!!! Janet F.
Adorable! I would also love for you to post your reply... we'll see if you can be just as honest. ;)
hand written not texted or emailed... wow...
