A Rainy Morning at Birmingham Botanical Gardens (and a Poem)

First some pictures I took on a recent (rainy) early-morning visit to Birmingham Botanical Gardens... and then a poem inspired by the pictures!

  1. Beautiful pictures. Shedding tears, cleansing rain that opens the soul to true knowing and peace. Thanks.

  2. (to use your one little word for the 3rd picture) I love the wild pink of the veins in the leaf, boldly bursting into the green and being accepted and loved.

  3. Rain is being yearned for here, too. Your botanical gardens obviously was grateful, Irene. Love the "drip-drop, fat-berried, variegated world", & that photo with the caterpillar.

Your thoughts?
