  1. I knew I connected with you!!! Pt Reyes is my favorite place in the world. When my mind and heart needs quiet and peace I go there. We have hiked all over the park...I love all of it...Great picture!! I feel peaceful just looking at it now.

I agree with Alison! Such a beautiful photo. Alison, you are so lucky to be able to go hiking there.

Irene, this picture is truly inspirational. Thank you so much for sharing it.

  3. Oh, I will have to share more Pt. Reyes pics! We had such a cool experience there... got to the parking lot like 15 minutes before they were going to close the stairs to the lighthouse... we hoofed it and got in just before they closed the gate.. then walked the 300 stairs... watched the sunset... I tell you, it was one of those moments in life that takes the breath away.
You gals are both in Cali... how far from Pt. Reyes? Next time I'm out there we'll have to set something up. :) Meanwhile, what's up with all those dairy farms on the road to the lighthouse? SO cool!

  4. I live about 40 minutes from Pt Reyes..I took my girl scout troop whale watching at the lighthouse 2 years ago..those stairs are a killer. We have stayed in the Youth Hostel there also....great place for the GS troop!! I love all the old dairy farms. Did you notice they are all numbered and have the year they were started on their signs? I haven't been there in about 3 months...I think it is time for another trip!!

  5. An opening in the sea cliffs, bright among shadows. The starry sea sweeps forward and forever into distant mist. Keep walking. Forward is the only way to go.

  6. Hey Alison, when you go again, take a pic of one of those cows. I didn't realize the numbering was intentional... I'll tuck that little tidbit away for future use. :) And, dear inspired, I am so glad you're here.
