Hello and welcome to the latest installment of ArtSpeak: FOUR SEASONS! (Posting early because I have a special guest coming to the blog tomorrow!)
A special welcome to Mrs. Hahn and students!!! Did you write "Sleigh Ride" poems? I hope so!!
Today I'm excited to share with you my last winter poem of this series... until winter returns in December. :)
Next week I'll be back with my first Spring poem of the season! And so...
As sleigh crests
one last hill
eager sun
goldens the snow,
remembering.
We grin
into the wind
as bells sing
and horses keep
the season's
one true rhythm:
let go let go let go
- Irene Latham
Lovely! xo
ReplyDeleteI love what the season's one true rhythm is -- so good!
ReplyDeleteYes! Winter teaches us over and over again to let go. Love it!
ReplyDeleteI wrote to your challenge, and I'm waiting for permission to share the poem of the one student who took the challenge. Just one, but she knocked it out of the ballpark!
I commented too soon! J.L.'s poem is there!
DeleteWhere can I see the poems?? Your blog?? I have school visits this morning, but can't wait to read it!! xo
DeleteSuch soothing rhythm. I love, "We grin." How lucky that you got to spend time with Mrs. Hahn and her students. I would love to be a learner in her classroom. She makes learning far more than school. What a lucky writer you are! Thanks for a season of wonderful poems. I continue to be inspired by your inspirations.
