I'm not sure if it's the difference in his personality, our different way of interacting with one another, or the fact that I have a new van I really don't want to get messed up.... but this has been a whole lot more stressful than it was with Oldest Son!
He's doing great. And he's so cute the way he narrates what he's doing. And yes, some prickly "STOP" "OMG" "LOOK BEHIND YOU" moments too....

First of all, congrats on finishing your work on DON'T FEED THE BOY! What a great idea and fun cover too...so exciting! And hats of to you for being such a good mom. I remember learning to drive. I'm a bit, um, clumsy, so my parents were afraid to teach me. They sent me to a professional driving school, and when I passed my test...my mom sent the (male) teacher flowers!! Hang in there. He's lucky to have a mom who remembers the 90% number. a.

ReplyDeleteYou are right about the newer vehicle making you more apprehensive. We don't like the kids to drive the new van, but don't have a problem with the old Jeep. And all of our kids drive differently. My oldest stepson never did get the hang of it. He gets distracted so easily. Still doesn't have his DL!

Ronnie taught the kids to drive... of course he said you can't teach something you don't know.. oh, snother tidbit... they were driving the truck around the pasture when they were ten... no four wheeler for them, just a farm truck. The difference is Daniel would laugh at your OMG and STOPS but Andrew gives you that look...

ReplyDeleteI taught both my boys to drive and it wasn't too frightening, so when my friend was afraid to take her daughter, I said I would. It was a decision I learned to regret. She had a lead foot and scared me to death!
